Dis Luuks is the little art studio of South African artist and designer, Salome Kuyper. Salome studied Industrial Design, developing a love for thoughtful design, beautiful details and the process of turning an idea into something tangible. Although design became her profession, painting has always held a special place in her life.
Over time, she found herself drawn more and more towards the quiet process of painting by hand. Recently, she fell in love with watercolour and its delicate, unpredictable nature. What started as a personal love for painting has grown into a studio dedicated to capturing tiny moments that deserve to be remembered.
Through Dis Luuks, Salome creates hand-painted pieces that are intended to feel personal, thoughtful and a little bit special. Pieces to frame, to gift, and most importantly, to keep.
Because sometimes the little things are the most luuks.
